We meet again on the blog with a different discussion than before. At this time we will discuss and share my learning activities in class regarding application letters. I'm sure you must find that familiar too, right?
📃What is Application latter?📃
Application letter is a letter that you write to a company when you are applying for a job
📃Purpose📃
its main objective is to get the applicant in the door for an interview and must be written well enough to attract the attention and interest of the person with the power to recommend or grant one.
📃Structure📃
A. Opening :
- Applicant information
- Date
- Recipient information
- Introduction.
- Self promotion.
- Skills.
- Achievements.
- Experience.
- Value to the company.
- Expectations.
- Willingness to work.
- Sign off.
- Signature.
- Attachments.
📃How to Write Application latter?📃
1). Begin and end the letter appropriately
Example : “Dear Mr./Mrs./Ms.” or “Dear Sir or Madam” and “Yours sincerely” or “Yours faithfully”.
2). Give a clear reason for writing.
Example : I am writing this with regard to… / to enquire about… / to apply for… / to express interest in….
3) Use linking words to join similar ideas into paragraphs.
4). Include a summary comment near the end of your letter.
Example: I hope you will find this information useful
5). Close your letter with a set phrase.
Example: I look forward to hearing from you.
📃Example of job application letter📃
During the lesson, Miss Wiwin divided groups of only two people. we had to look for job vacancies on the internet and answer the questions given by miss wiwin. after that make a job application letter.
